Pipe Dreams is a 1938 Happy Harmonies cartoon.

The three good monkeys are tempted to smoke some Helz Fire Tobacco. They explore the tobacco shop, a world of match box trains and talking cigars.

  • This cartoon could be similar to the 1938 Looney Tunes Cartoon Wholly Smoke, as both involve normally good characters trying something dangerous.
  • Rarely shown on the Turner Entertainment networks due to smoking. In fact, other than Tom and Jerry and Droopy cartoons, no other MGM cartoons rerun on Boomerang USA on a daily basis.
  • Due to Disney's high volume of cartoon production, the studio got a little ahead of itself. Disney contracted out the production of three Silly Symphonies shorts- Merbabies, Pipe Dreams, and The Little Bantamweight- to Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising. Of the three, Disney only kept one (Merbabies), with the other two being sent to MGM, who released them as Happy Harmonies cartoons.
  • Like most Happy Harmonies cartoons, the cartoon is available on YouTube without copyright protection.
