Little Ol' Bosko in Bagdad is a 1938 Happy Harmonies cartoon directed by Hugh Harman.

Plot[]

Bosko dreams that he is in Baghdad where giant frogs want to steal the cookies he's supposed to deliver to his grandma.

Availability[]

  • (2008) DVD - MGM Collection Volume 3
  • (2010) DVD - Banned & Censored Cartoons Volume I

Notes[]

  • This is the final Bosko short. Harman and Ising discontinued Bosko because of the negative reception of the last 7 cartoons.
  • This short like Little Ol' Bosko and the Pirates and Little Ol' Bosko and the Cannibals is not banned, but is rarely shown on the Turner Entertainment networks, for its stereotyping against black people.
  • Despite WBTV owning the copyrights today, the cartoon along with most Happy Harmonies and early MGM cartoons, are on YouTube without copyright protection.
  • This is the only Happy Harmonies short of 1938 not to be produced for Disney.
