Tex Avery - Doggone Tired (1949)

Doggone Tired is a 1949 cartoon directed by Tex Avery.

An energetic dog needs a night's rest if he's going to be ready for rabbit hunting at dawn. A crafty rabbit does everything he can to keep him awake.

  • Voices were provided by radio actors Harry Lang, who appeared on the Cisco Kid, and Leone LeDoux,[1] who specialised in baby cries.
  • Internet sources claiming Daws Butler provided a voice are incorrect, as he did not arrive in Hollywood until after World War II.[2]
  • This is one of four MGM cartoons in the public domain in the United States. The others are "The Discontented Canary" (1934), "To Spring" (1936) and "Jerky Turkey" (1945).[citation needed]
